Where Should You Place Your Jig in the Early Spring?

Let Gerald Swindle Show You Which Lure He Prefers in Cold but Warming Water!

Gerald starts this video by pulling in a small largemouth bass from near a rocky bank. This is his key to his approach of finding and hooking bass in early spring.

Where does he think the biggest bite will be? On a rock bed or on wood? How about both? Gerald likes to acst his jig into the thickest part of the branches on a limb. His first bass isn’t so big but hits quickly. The bass are still sluggish in the cold spring water so don’t move to far from the branches.

Watch his technique and the way he holds his pole upright or even tilted back some to be able to hook a bass when it hits. He points out the habitat around the site he chose to complement his descriptive discussion. A second but bigger bass hits the jig as Gerald entertains you with his extensive knowledge.
