How Do You Catch Big Bass in the Small Lakes in Forest Areas?

Finding Big Bass in Some Backwoods of Ohio!

Jon B. goes fishing with his buddy Billy in wooded lakes off the road in Ohio. This is one of Billy’s fishing grounds and he knows how to find the bass and how to fish for them. These guys have a great time in the early fall. The weather is good for fishing with a light rain falling at times. Jon B. says he loves the fall fishing. The weather is mild in Ohio and bass are still hungry, probably fattening up for the winter. That is a little like the upper Midwest but the weather is usually more consistent.

Jon B. patiently casts but it is Bill that is pulling the bass. Finally Jon B. decides to try other lures, including a frog. He lands two great bass, one on a frog and one on a yellow jig that resembles a blue gill.

He explains why it is important to return the bass carefully to the lake to help maintain nature’s balance.
